Deputy Speaker, Provincial Assembly of Sindh, Ms Rehana Leghari on Monday chaired a meeting in her office regarding development and construction projects and schemes of district Sujawal.
The meeting was also attended among others by Member Sindh Assembly from Sujawal District Heer Soho and Deputy Commissioner Sujawal Ismail Memon.
Leghari told the meeting that all ongoing schemes in Sujawal district should be completed as soon as possible while departmental process on new projects should be started immediately.
She further said that the members of the assembly were accountable to the people of their respective cities on public issues.
She said that no compromise would be made on the quality of work of the development schemes and she would personally inspect every scheme of district Sujawal to check its quality work.
Leghari said that some administrative and bureaucratic complaints had been received regarding Public Health Engineering Department Sujawal which should be resolved immediately, adding public health engineering department must pay special attention to the supply of clean drinking water and drainage schemes of district Sujawal.
She further said that the population of Sujawal district was continuously increasing rapidly and development works should be planned with caution and foresight.
Talking about an issue, the Deputy Speaker said that with the growth of the city, the population was also increasing, so it was very important to create employment opportunities to reduce pressure on current employees and provide employment to the unemployed.
On the occasion, Heer Soho said that strict instructions had been given by the party leadership to get speedy completion of development and construction schemes in every district of Sindh.
She further said that Sujawal district was a new district where there was a huge shortage of manpower, including other facilities in government institutions, and in order to increase the manpower, every government department in the district should plan according to its capacity.
