Hasaranga and Chameera leave for UAE to participate in IPL

Two Sri Lankan players-Wanindu Hasaranga and Dushmantha Chameera, who have been signed by the Royal Challengers Bangalore to play in the remaining matches of the IPL 2021 have reached UAE by a chartered flight on early morning on Wednesday, it is learnt.

Along with these two Sri Lankan players, five South African players and one commentator Pommie Mbangwa boarded the flight from Colombo”, the source said exclusively over the telephone. “Other South Africans have left for their country”.

Hasaranga and Chameera have been given NOCs by the Sri Lanka Cricket (SLC) Board.
“These players along with others had their PCR tests at the hotel on Monday and also at the airport”.

The other Sri Lankan players selected for the World Cup are given a break and will again assemble in the hotel after 10 days.

“Few players left for their home after the match on Tuesday, whereas captain Dasun Shanaka and remaining players were checking out gradually on Wednesday morning”, the source confirmed.
