A joint meeting of the district administration, Law Enforcement Agencies, and the University of Sargodha administration was held to review security arrangements at the university.
The meeting was presided by Arshad Ahmad Wattoo, Additional Deputy Commissioner HQ Sargodha while additional registrar Waqar Ahmad, resident officer Faheem Arshad, and others members from LEAs including police, CTD, special branch, security branch, civil defence, Rescue 1122 and the Forest Department attended the meeting.
Resident Officer Faheem Arshad briefed the meeting about overall security situation and the measures taken in the light of the recommendations, made in the previous meeting held on August 26, 2021.
Keeping in view the security situation and to beef up the security of the varsity, the Resident Officer briefed following measures to the house to ensure security of the university.
The measures included activation of Quick Response Force (QRF), readiness and preparedness of the varsity security guards to handle security related challenges, actions taken in the light of the observations made by the security branch; proper management of the central control Room for 24/7 surveillance of varsity, and start of the Training of security guards by Elite police.
The resident officer also briefed about the mock exercises conducted in Main Campus, Medical college and Agricultural College of UoS by different law enforcement agencies.
After the meeting, the members visited the University and checked the security measures and verified the security measures.
