Punjab Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Cooperatives Minister Raja Basharat on Thursday declared that the case of MPA Nazir Chohan is of serious nature as no one has the authority to question belief of others.

While talking to media outside Punjab Assembly on Thursday, the minister said that that everyone should be careful in such matters.

The law minister further said that the by-election in Sialkot was held in a transparent manner and there was no weight in the claims about rigging.

He said that no one had complained of rigging during the polling all day so the results after transparent elections should be acknowledged by all.

He said that the Punjab government had ensured implementation of all the orders of the Election Commission for transparent election.

“The Punjab government believes in strengthening institutions and democracy”, he pointed out, adding that politics for politics is no solution to any problem and the opposition would have to adopt a constructive approach to resolve public problems.
