After the approval by Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar the amended act of Punjab Sugar Factories Control 2021 has been implemented.
A new clause regarding payments of the farmers has been added in the new act 2021. The sugar mills will be bound to clear the payments to the cane farmers through banks.
The sugar mills will be bound to clear the payments to the farmers within 45 days, and strict action will be taken by the Cane Commissioner against those violating this rule.
According to the details, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar approved the amended act of Punjab Sugar Factories Control 2021. Significant changes have been made to provide relief to the farmers in the act.
In the new act 2021, a new clause has been added regarding payments of the farmers. The sugar mills will be bound to give payments to the farmers through banks.
As per the amended act sugar mills will only be allowed crushing on the dates given by the government.
According to the amended act of Punjab sugar factories control 2021 strict action will be taken against those sugar mills which will fail to ensure timely payments to the farmers, and cane commissioner will ensure the recovery from the sugar mills.
Speaking on the occasion of giving approval of the law, Punjab Governor Ch Sarwar said that sugar mills are made bound to pay farmers within 45 days and these payments will be made through banks.
The cane farmers will not have to face difficulties for their payments. It is a clear policy of the government that no injustice will be tolerated in this regard.
Chaudhry Sarwar said that there is a great contribution of farmers in the economic development of Pakistan. The government will stand with all farmers including cane growers.
All government institutions stand united with the farmers under the leadership of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
The institutions will take strict and quick action against any injustice meted out to the farmers.
