THERE is no let-up in the Indian belligerence. The extremist Modi government is flaring up the situation on the LoC just to divert the world attention from its continuous lockdown in occupied Kashmir. One Pakistani soldier and three civilians were martyred and eight others including two soldiers received injuries as Indian forces resorted to unprovoked firing in different sectors of the LoC. Pakistan Army gave a befitting response to the Indian aggression by destroying their two bunkers which reportedly killed nine Indian soldiers and injuries to several others.
Pakistan Army response once again proved that the country’s forces are fully prepared and capable to deliver a bloody nose to the arch rival. Nonetheless, these continuous LoC violations and baseless diatribe by India poses a grave threat to regional peace and stability, and the world cannot afford to ignore two nuclear armed countries staying in face to face position for a long time as any incident can trigger a full-fledged conflict between the two neighbours which will have disastrous consequences not only for the region but the whole world. In his address to the UN General Assembly, Prime Minister Imran Khan had also very rightly warned of an all-out conflict amidst rising tension over Kashmir saying it will have consequences far beyond the region. Whilst Pakistan has always demonstrated maturity and expressed desire for peace, but on the other side, India is not ready to shun its antagonistic posture towards Pakistan. Baseless accusations and lies have become a hallmark of Indian civilian and military leadership as well as the media. Just like Balakot strikes, the Indian Army Chief made a groundless accusation of destroying three camps of terrorists in Azad Kashmir. If India has the moral courage then it must accept the offer made by DG ISPR Major General Asif Ghafoor in which he welcomed the Indian embassy to take any foreign diplomat/media to the AJK to prove it on the ground. Since lies have no legs, we know India will never ever go for it just like it is now allowing the UN Military Observer Group to perform its mandated function. New Delhi is only resorting to baseless accusations to malign Pakistan at the international level but time has come the world practically and fairly assesses the developments taking place in the region. The fact is that it is India that is perpetrating terrorism in occupied Kashmir and across the LoC by targeting innocent civilians. For how long, India will be given a free hand to spread and support terror in the region?
