Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s leading Islamic bank has launched a free Covid-19 vaccination drive for its employees and their family members in collaboration with the Government of Sindh.
The vaccination camp kicked off at the Bank’s Head Office in Karachi under the leadership of Mr. Irfan Siddiqui, Founding President & CEO – Meezan Bank along with the Bank’s senior management team.
The drive was personally overseen by the Honorable Commissioner Karachi Mr. Navid Ahmed Shaikh along with his team.
As the Bank rolls out its support for COVID-19 vaccine adoption in an effort to return to normalcy, it is partnering with relevant authorities to conduct the vaccination drive smoothly and increase the administration of vaccines for its staff across the country, starting from Karachi.
The Bank will continue to cover over 12,000 employees including all permanent, contractual and third-party staff as well as their family members.
The vaccine aspirants are registered by sending SMS at 1166 and their vaccination records are being entered by health staff in NADRA’s NIMS (National Immunization Management System) powered by Ministry of National Health Services Regulation and Coordination, Government of Pakistan.
Staff who have received their first vaccine dosage and are eligible for a second dose are also being accommodated after necessary verification.
Commissioner Karachi – Mr. Navid Ahmed Shaikh while speaking at the launch ceremony, said, “It is very important that we should all get vaccinated to keep ourselves, our families and colleagues safe.
I really admire Meezan Bank’s initiative of getting all their staff members and their families vaccinated against Covid-19.
This shows that the Bank gives importance to their staff’s safety and well-being and Sind Government is proud to be supporting this initiative.”
