Sindh Minister for Information and Pakistan people’s Party (PPP) Karachi Division President Saeed Ghani said that the party would challenge the results of the by-poll son PS-11 in Larkana held Thursday. The by-polls have been massively rigged and a candidate of the selected government has been promoted and the PPP has mentionable proof on that rigging in the by-polls.
He said that the mastermind of October 18 terror incident near Karsaz also known as Karsaz Incidence were none other than those who masterminded the December 27 terror incident, which claimed precious life of PPP Chairperson Benazir Bhutto. A conspiracy was hatched after the FIR was lodged on behalf of the state of Pakistan instead of the victims of the Karsaz incident and hence the PPP demands that apex court to take suo moto notice and take the culprits to task. Even the dictator Musharraf should also be brought into the justice box and taken to task.
The Minister expressed these views while giving a press briefing after visiting the martyrs’ graveyard and then visiting the martyrs’ monument at Karsaz in Karachi.
The Minister said that the terror attack of October 18 was not only a mega terror incident in history of Pakistan but was a mega one in world’s history. PPP continuously visits the monument to pay homage to the martyrs of October 18. That terror attack had claimed lives of 1777 while more than 500 sustained lethal injuries. Again, the Minister continued to tell that when Benazir Bhutto had announced to return to Pakistan, Musharraf’s regime deliberately ignored the required security needs of her and finally terrorists claimed her life and later the FIR was once again was registered on behalf of the state of Pakistan instead of her heirs. That is why the party does not see any difference in those two terror incidents and always believed that the mastermind of those attacks were not two but one.
He said that transparent investigations on those two terror attacks is PPP’s right and if the investigations would have completed in a transparent manner and Musharraf was also interrogated, details of the terror plans could have so far been open to naked eyes.
On PPP’s defeat on PS-11 in by-polls in Larkana, Ghani said that PPP’s candidate jameel Soomro was not allow3d to enter the polling booth despite that he was a legal contestant and then during the counting of the votes cast in poling, at DRO’s office, he was still barred from entering the office until two hours. As the results started coming, the party was openly sweeping the by-polls on at least 40 polling stations but after PPP’s candidate was barred from entering the DRO’s office, the process of rigging was completed during those two hours.
He said that the vote bank of PPP is intact and as compared to previous ratio, the party has secured more 5000 votes in the by-polls. The Minister said that it is a fact that PPP always contested elections with rival parties as well unseen forces and the people of Pakistan are well familiar with that unseen force.
