Bloody clashes between the two tribes in Tank district on Thursday reportedly left more than a dozen people dead and many others seriously wounded. Unfortunately a majority of those killed during the infighting were the passerbys (passengers of a bus).
“At least 14 people have been killed and four others wounded in an armed clash between Bhitanni tribe and Inam group in Tank district of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) on Thursday”.
Police said.
Reports said shootout between the two clans took place over an old enmity, police sources said and added that 10 passengers were also killed in crossfire between the two groups at Drabin Mor in Mullazai. However, four people from both sided were gunned down in the fierce clash. The two sides used heavy and automatic weapons in the fight.
Sources said that the ill-fated bus was on its route when it came under crossfire between the two rival groups at Drabin Mor.
Heavy contingent of police and law enforcement agencies , rushed to the scene and took control of the area. Rescue officials shifted the bodies and the injured to the hospital.
The police has started probe into the incident and also conducting raids to apprehend the trouble makers from both the sides responsible for the gori incident that also claimed ten innocent lives.
