A flag march of fire tenders and water browsers was organized on Saturday to create awareness among the people, the spokesman of the Governor of Sindh
50 modern fire tenders and 2 water bowsers took part in the flag march, a gift from the Prime Minister to Karachi residents.
The handover ceremony of the state-of-the-art fire trucks will be held on Sunday (Today) at the Governor’s House.
The spokesperson of Governor said that flag march of modern fire tenders and bowers was conducted in the city for public awareness. In the flag march, 50 fire tenders imported from China and 2 water bowlers are included. It started from Governor’s House and passed through Shahra-e-Faisal to DC West Office.
The spokesperson further said that 52 modern fire tenders would help in enhancing the firefighting capacity in the city. These fire fighting vehicles were procured at a cost of Rs. 1.4 billion from the financial package announced by the federal government.
These state-of-the-art fire tenders are very different from traditional purposes, new fire trucks have hardware, high pressure water gun fire extinguishers and other Useful features. A spokesman for the Sindh Governor said that the handover ceremony of fire trucks based on modern technology would be held on Sunday, February 14 at 12 noon at Governor House in which Sindh Governor Imran Ismail would hand over these modern fire tenders to Karachi Municipal Corporation Fire Brigade.
