Two robbers were killed while their two accomplices managed to escape after exchange of fire with police here on Friday.
According to police officials, four robbers were engaged in looting vehicles at Sagian Morr in Sheikhupura when Factory Area Police SHO Rana Muhammad Iqbal reached the scene with a heavy police contingent. Upon sighting the police team, the robbers started firing and tried to flee the scene. In cross-fire, two robbers were killed while their two accomplices managed to flee from the scene.
The bodies of killed robbers were shifted to mortuary of DHQ Hospital for autopsy and search has been launched for the arrest the runaway robbers.
Meanwhile, seven persons including a woman were injured in road mishaps in different localities of on Friday, police said.
