UK magazine calls ‘Sugary Drinks a Mini-Time Bomb’ for health

Sana Ullah Ghumman, General Secretary of Pakistan National Heart Association (PANAH) said that excess of anything is harmful. Consumption of a balanced diet keeps the human body energized. Sugary drinks are a major source of sugar. Like fashion, it has become a part of every party, its regular use has become a major cause of many diseases including heart, diabetes, obesity, mental disorders and cancer. The benefit of health levy is essential for the health of the people, which will lead to a healthy young generation with revenue. Referring to a report in Sugary Drinks and Sugar Disadvantages published in the Mirror Magazine, Sana Ullah Ghumman, General Secretary of PANAH, said that PANAH has been fighting for the last 36 years to protect the people from heart disease. The rise in heart disease is worrying. Every minute and a half after a heart attack in Pakistan, the loss of a human life makes one wonder why care is being taken to prevent the causes.
