Giggles and smiles spread among dozens of women and children refuging in shelter home in Attock on Wednesday when warm clothes were distributed among them to coup with nail biting chilly weather. The clothes including suits, shawls and other clothing items were distributed among the intimates of shelter home also known as Dar ul Aman by Taxila based welfare organization.
Away from home and left alone by their respective families, the women and their children taking shelter at Dar ul Aman were in dire need of warm clothing as some of the women were thrown out from their house by their empty handed.
Deputy director social welfare department Haseeb Iqbal who was chief guest at the distribution ceremony has lauded the initiative taken by the trust. He called upon individual philaphorits and other segments of society to support government efforts in addressing the concerns of impoverished people especially women. “Living away from home and parental care is a tough challenge. These women need enhanced societal support in overcoming the stigma of homelessness,” he said
Chairman Bright future welfare trusts Naveed Arif Paracha speaking on this occasion has said that it is the third activity of the trust, which was carried out at this shelter house.
