Addressing the concluding session of the 13th International Urdu Conference organized by Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, the scholars and intellectuals said that in a very unfavorable situation and atmosphere of fear, Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi organized the International Urdu Conference. It has been proved that everything can be done if the spirit is sincere and if there is dedication to do something and the President of Arts Council of Pakistan Ahmad Shah along with his team did it all. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Huma Mir.
Addressing the meeting, Hasina Moin said, “I am happy that my country is awake, alive and it has to live and survive forever. Earlier, people used to come to these conferences in hundreds, then in thousands and now millions of people around the world.” They are watching it all over the place. He said that the lamp which Ahmad Shah has lit is for the youth, the youth will carry this light forward. Munawar Saeed said that all the meetings held to start the World Urdu Conference I participated, most people told Ahmad Shah not to hold a conference this year due to the epidemic but he said that In any case, the World Urdu Conference should not be stalled. Arts Council held a session on “Hundred Years of Sindhi Language and Literature” in which renowned Sindhi intellectuals, writers, and poets expressed their views. Number one was poetry, number two was painting and then calligraphy, he wrote rabayat which is a difficult genre, Sultan Ahmad Naqvi has done a great job that he has included many works of Sadiqeen in one place.
I think that the book on this should be as standard and attractive as Sadiqin is a big man, but the printing and paper of the book that has been published are not standard and there are some flaws in the editing as well.
