Murray College would be made university soon

The Special Assistant to Prime Minister (SAPM) on Youth Affairs Muhammad Usman Dar on Saturday has said that 131-year-old historic educational institute Government Murray College would soon acquire the status of a university because of the special interest of Prime Minister Imran Khan in that regard. He said that while addressing the ceremony to administer oath from the newly elected office bearers of local unit of Punjab Professors and Lecturers Association (PPLA).
The SAPM Usman Dar further said that the improved status of the Government Murray College would greatly help the local students in obtaining higher education without leaving their city. He said that it was his most important duty to help and provide the people of his election constituency the basic facilities like health and education. The Punjab Minister for Special Education Ch Muhammad Ikhlaq in his speech said that the provincial government was busy in taking all the steps to promote the sector of education on modern lines. He said that more than 1000 students had been granted admission in the four yearlong BS Program in the governmental education institutes in Sialkot district and spared them from the huge fees of private educational institutes.
The principal Government Murray College Professor Muhammad Nawaz highly appreciated the Prime Minister (PM) Imran Khan for trying to revive the ideology of ‘Riasat e Madina’ (the state of Madina) in Pakistan. He opined that by the ideology of Riasat e Madina, the PM had provided the youth of the country an opportunity to prepare themselves to lead the world.
