Chief of the Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Thursday said that Pakistan attaches great importance to brotherly relations with Bosnia and Herzegovina and was proud of the strong bond between the people of the two countries.
According to a statement issued by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), following a visit from Chairman of Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina Sefik Dzaferovic at General Headquarters (GHQ) on Thursday, matters of mutual interest, regional security and Pak-Bosnia relations came under discussion.
“Both [sides] discussed enhanced bilateral cooperation in various fields including defence, technical expertise and joint ventures,” the statement added.
The visiting dignitary also acknowledged Pakistan’s continuous efforts for peace and stability in the region and pledged to further enhance bilateral relations between both brotherly countries, the communiqué added.
Earlier, on arrival at GHQ, the visiting dignitary was presented guard of honour and laid floral wreath at the Martyrs Monument to pay homage to martyrs.
