Pakistan advancing towards lasting peace, stability: COAS

Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa on Friday said that Pakistan was positively continuing its journey towards lasting peace and stability.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations, Gen Bajwa visited Southern Command where he was briefed on the ongoing projects under the ‘Prosperous Balochistan’ programme. The COAS appreciated the law enforcement agencies and the Pak Army for maintaining law and order and peace in the province. Gen Bajwa along with Chief Minister of Balochistan Jam Kamal Khan inaugurated newly established National University of Science and Technology campus in Quetta.
While addressing to students of various educational institutions, the COAS appreciated the talented youth of Balochistan and urged them to enable themselves for the forthcoming opportunities in different fields.
The Army Chief also praised the intelligent youth of Balochistan and urged the students to take advantage of potential opportunities in different fields. He added that the younger generation should continue to work in the right direction. “Every class of Pakistani society needs to work together to meet the future challenges,” he said.
Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa had announced the building of this campus in January 2017, said the ISPR, adding that the campus was constructed within two years and eight months.
The ISPR added that in the first badge, 550 students will undergo BE in Civil Engineering, Computer Sciences and MS disciplines, including Water Resource Engineering Management, Tunneling/Mining Engineering and Computer and Allied Sciences programmmes.
