President IIUI stresses producing best research, improvement in academic excellence

President International Islamic University Islamabad (IIUI) Dr. Hathal bin Hamoud Al-Otaibi has stressed upon commitment to produce best research and further improvement in academic excellence.
He was addressing a day long Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities and Threats (SWOT) analysis workshop held at Faisal Masjid Campus on Sunday as a preparatory exercise for university strategic plan.
During the workshop, Deans presented SWOT analysis of their respective faculties followed by question answer sessions. The workshop was also attended by Vice Presidents Dr. Ahmed Shuja Syed, Dr N. B. Jumani, Dr. Farkhanda zia and Dr. Aqdas Naveed Malik. DGs, Deans, Professors, HoDs, Director QEC Dr. Rehmat Elahi and other relevant Directors were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Hathal said that renewal of infrastructure, preparation of strategic plan and academic excellence will be points of prime focus.
Stressing upon commitment to produce best research and further improvement in academic excellence, he hoped that International Islamic University would be among leading universities of world in future. Dr Hathal emphasized that it was a dire need to be revamped as per global needs to meet lofty goals and objectives of the university. President IIUI assured of maximum support for the progress of university.
“To meet the contemporary requirements, we need to think out of the box” he added. President IIUI furthered that constructive thinking will be encouraged. Dr Hathal while appreciating active participation vowed that merit will be the cornerstone of varsity’s progress policy.
