Ameer of Jamaat-e-Islami Senator Siraj-ul-Haq has demanded full facilitation to the residents of all areas affected and affected by the recent rains in Karachi. “An empowered city government should be established in Karachi. Transparent census and local bodies’ elections should be held in three months. A committee comprising all stakeholders should be formed.”
He expressed these views during his visit to Yousuf Goth, Surjani Town and other rain-affected areas of the city on Saturday.
A forensic audit of K Electric should be conducted, it should be taken into national custody and the money looted from the citizens of Karachi should be returned and the recent cruel increase in tariff of K Electric should be withdrawn. Residents of Yousuf Goth and other affected areas of Surjani Town have been paralyzed. Let their problems be solved.
The federal and provincial governments had done nothing but announcements for Karachi before. Prime Minister Imran Khan should have come to Karachi immediately after the rains and left the Governor’s House today to visit the common settlements and settlements. Before the new announcements, tell me where the previously announced Rs 162 billion was spent.
The provincial government declared 20 districts in Sindh, including six in Karachi, as disaster-stricken, but did nothing to help the people.
The population of Karachi was not counted correctly in the census. In Karachi, if only 5% of the blocks are reopened and the census is conducted again, the situation can be accurately assessed. He expressed these views. During his visit to other areas, he spoke to the media and addressed the residents of the area.
On this occasion, Deputy Amir of Jamaat-e-Islami Sindh MumtazHussainSehto, Amir of Karachi Hafiz Naeem-ur-Rehman, Deputy Amir Muslim Pervez, Deputy Secretary Abdul Razzaq Khan, Amir of North District Muhammad Yousuf, Secretary District Muhammad Irfan, Sindh Information Secretary MujahidChana, Information Secretary Karachi ZahidAskari, Sher-e-Dil Mughal of Mughal community, RaoIntezar Rajput of Rajput community, Jamaat-e-Islami workers and Khidmat volunteers were also present.
