Punjab Inspector General of Police Shoaib Dastgir on Wednesday said the process of timely provision of safety items and implementation of SOPs should continue to prevent law enforcers deputed on security of Muharram procession from Covid-19 pandemic.
The police force should perform their duties during Muharram processions with full diligence, hard work, commitment and spirit of faith.
The IGP further said that district police heads must ensure that safety equipments to police officers for Covid-19 has been provided to officers and officials deputed on security on time and without any delay and also send a report in this regard.
As per the directives of Additional IG welfare and finance, a letter with respect to distribution of safety equipment has been sent to CCPO Lahore, all city police officers and DPOs, in which instructions have been given regarding provision of safety equipment.
