6 booked for encroaching NHA land

Police have booked six accused for encroaching NHA land on CPEC in the jurisdiction of Injra police station. Deputy Director National Highway Authority (Land and Legal) Bashir Ahmad informed Injra police that Munir Asif, Tanveer, Naseer, Amir and Noor Ahmad all r/o village Barwala Tehsil Jand District Attock made an illegal pathway on CPEC and set up hotels there with out prior permission and when asked to stop all this gave life threats to the officials of NHA and refused to remove encroachments and stop their illegal hotels business.

He further informed police that AC Jand was also informed about this encroachment on 3/11/2022. Due to illegal construction of the hotels by the accused, many accidents occured which resulted in loss of precious lives.
