Zubair invites foreign investment for projects in Karachi

Governor of Sindh, Muhammad Zubair has invited financiers from Denmark to invest in CPEC related projects as well as in the series of development schemes envisaged for Karachi.
In a call on meeting with Rolf Holmboe, the Ambassador of Denmark to Pakistan, at the Governor House here Wednesday, he said since the restoration of peace in Karachi investment opportunities were fast expanding here.
According to Sindh Governor House spokesman, Ambassador Holmboe was also informed about the presence of educated and trained manpower in the coastal city turning it all the more popular among multinational companies.
Sindh Governor mentioning that CPEC, at the same time was turning Pakistan into an essential part of the international trade route connecting third world to the first world.
Developed countries, faced with their specific limitations, can avail of the opportunities being provided through development in the part of the world comprising Pakistan, he said.
“CPEC will be opening a new era of progress and prosperity as our country will be soon emerging as a crucial trade connection between developed and developing countries,” the governor was quoted to have said.
Sindh Governor acknowledging the close bilateral relations between the two countries, said these based on mutual trust and respect holds all opportunities to be expanded further.
“Fast changing global scenario demands diversity and stability in the relationship between the two countries,” he said.
Ambassador Rolf Holmboe said his country was keen to help Pakistan in its efforts towards economic progress and prosperity.
He also appreciated the contribution made by Pakistan in the global war against terrorism.
“The great sacrifices rendered by the people of Pakistan in this ongoing war can also not be ignored,” said the Ambassador.
