Zehri worries over rain disasters

Quetta—Balochistan Chief Minister, Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri has directed commissioners, deputy commissioners and other officials concerned to make immediate arrangements for dealing with disasters caused by heavy monsoon rains.
He issued directives here Sunday that all the commissioners, deputy commissioner, officials of law enforcement agencies including the Frontier Corps, Police and Levies Force to remain ready to deal with disasters caused by heavy monsoon rains.
“People living near storm water streams and in flood-affected areas should be immediately shifted to safe places,” he directed, adding, “the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) should remain in touch with the deputy commissioners and provide the affected people with food, drinking water, blankets and other necessary items.”—APP
