Islamabad—A week-long youth drama festival in full swing here at Pakistan National Council Of Arts (PNCA), attracting a large number of people from twin cities of Islamabad and Rawalpindi.
The students of various education institutions are participating in the week-long drama festival. The event was specially arranged by the Council to hunt the new talent and encourage the youth of the country.
A large number of people from different walks of life are daily attending the festival and enjoying the plays being performed by the students of various institutions. The main theme of the dramas are to highlight the social issues being faced by the people and society.
The students of Fatima Jinnah Women University played the drama ‘Zameer Saat Pardon Main’ and received a big applause from the audience in the jam packed Hall of PNCA Auditorium.
The students of Wafaqi Urdu University presented its drama ‘Umeed’, attended by a large number of people specially youth. According to schedule Quaid i Azam University would present its play ‘Alif Iqbal’and ‘Gungee Joroo’ would be performed by Arid Agriculture University May 20.
While play ‘Diya Jilaye Rakhna’ would be performed by Government Post Graduate College on May 21. The students of SZBIST is also participating in the festival and also present ‘Ishaq Gaddagar’ May 22. The judges would select the best play and later prizes and certificates would be distributed by the Director General PNCA Iftikhar Babar.
