Yousaf hails Saudi Arabia for offering best facilities

Pre-Hajj flight operation from Aug 3

Islamabad—Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yousaf Wednesday lauded Saudi Arabian government for offering best possible facilities to visiting Hujjaj.
Talking to Imam-e-Kaaba, Sheikh Dr Saleh Bin Al Hameed, in Makkah Mukarrama, he said Pakistan was taking important steps for promoting interfaith harmony. Pakistan was making important measures to strengthen relations with various religions.
Both the leaders discussed issues being faced by Muslim Ummah. The minister invited Imam-e-Kaaba to visit Pakistan, said a message received here.
Imam-e-Kaaba Sheikh Dr Saleh Bin Al-Hameed stressed making joint efforts for resolving the issues being confronted by Muslim Ummah irrespective of their sects.
Dr Saleh said Pakistan was an important country. Pakistan always played an important role in strengthening relations with Muslim Ummah.
Meanwhile, it is reported that the month long pre Hajj flight operation would commence from August 3 and culminate on September 4, said official sources from the Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony.
According to the schedule, the first Hajj flight would leave for Saudi Arabia from Lahore and Karachi on August 3. The flight operation would continue till September 4.
Likewise, private hajj operation would commence from August 4, last flight would leave for Saudi Arabia on September 5.
Post hajj operation of private scheme would commence from September 17 and continue till October 16.
A total of 143,368 Pakistanis would perform the religious obligation this year, fifty percent through government scheme and same number of hujjaj would perform the sacred religious obligation through private scheme.—APP
