Minister for Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony Sardar Muhammad Yusuf Monday stressed the need of Islamic and modern education in school of federal capital.
Addressing a National Qirat and Naat Competition at Islamabad Modal College here, he said recitation of the holy Quran should be mandatory as “Our success lies in following the doctrine of Quran.”
The minister was of the view that Islamic and Quranic education should be our top most priority and included in curriculum besides modern education.
He said the present government was making efforts to provide religious education along with modern across the country.
He said federal government was pursuing provinces to introduce religious education in their schools. He announced Ummrah package for top position holder in the competition.
