Writers welcome naming of road after poet Khaleeq Qureshi

Islamabad—A meeting of prominent literary organizations of the twin cities with poet Dr Farhat Abbas of Bazm-e-Ahl-e-Qalam Pakistan, in chair, expressed felicitation to renowned poet brothers of Islamabad Anjum Khaleeq and Khurram Khaleeq on having a road in civil line Faisalabad named after their late father Khaleeq Qureshi, a veteran journalist, poet, a prominent social figure and worker of the Pakistan Movement.
The participants of the meeting maintained that the District Administration of Faisalabad has very rightly taken up the step to recognize the meritorious services of late Khaleeq Quershi rended for over 40 years in the fields of literature, journalism and promotion of ideology of Pakistan in its true letter and spirit.
This is a well deserved tribute to a true son of soil, the meeting said and maintained that literary community shares this prestigious honor conferred upon the Khaleeq’s family.
Those who attended the meeting include: Ali Akbar Abbas, Anwar Saleem, wafa Chishti, Tariq Naeem, Iqbal Chishti, Nasir Aqeel, Asghar Abid, Dr. Zia-u-Din Naeem, Shaida Chishti, Nasim-e-Sehar, Naureen Talat Uroba, Abida Taqi, Tariq Shahid, Junaid Azer, Ali Yasser and others.
