World Health Day is celebrated every year on 7th April to draw worldwide attention towards the importance of global health and to raise the common public awareness towards health issues and concerns.
The theme of World Health Day this year was depression, a neuro-psychological condition that causes mental anguish and impacts people’s ability to carry out every day task. DHA celebrated World Health Day 2017 with great fanfare and organized various health awareness activities for the public at Defence Authority Zamzama Park focusing on promotion of healthy lifestyle for a happy, lively and energetic living.
A Health Pavilion was established in the midst of beautiful Zamzama Park in DHA Phase-V where Doctor’s Corner, Activity Zone and Healthy Food Stalls were established. All these activities were aimed at giving awareness to people about significance of adopting healthy and lively lifestyle.
At the Doctor’s Corner doctors, psychiatrists and health experts from Agha Khan Hospital, DHA Medical Centre and Amman Foundation gave free counseling. Activity Corner was buzzing with physical activity and action as large number of youth and children carried out exercises on gym equipment laid out for them.
