World community urged to resolve Kashmir, Palestine disputes

Peshawar—In order to make this world a safer place all outstanding conflicts around the world, particularly Kashmir and Palestine must be resolved on table through holding talks. This was said by Mushaal Mullick, Chairperson Peace and Culture Organization, a Non Governmental Organization working for global peace and harmony.
In a press statement issued here on Saturday, Mushaal Mullick said the global community has a long and proud tradition of upholding the causes of human freedom and dignity. “Kashmir calls urgently for initiatives in accordance with such traditions,” she remarked and added that can there be an alternate paradigm that could help towards crafting a win-win solution.
Mushaal said Kashmir dispute is the oldest unresolved international conflict in the World today. India’s forcible occupation of the State of Jammu and Kashmir in 1947 is the main cause of the dispute. The freedom movement in Indian-Occupied Kashmir is rooted in the struggle of the people for the exercise of the right of self-determination.
Thousands and thousands of innocent men, women and children have been killed or wounded. The people of Kashmir demand what was pledged to them by the United Nations and guaranteed by the Security Council, the Right to Self Determination.
The global involvement in Kashmir will not only end the bloodshed and suffering in Kashmir, but also will have a direct positive effect on international security by eliminating regional fighting, national tensions, and the risk of a nuclear war between India and Pakistan, opined Chairperson Peace and Culture Organization.
It is in everyone’s interest to settle the Kashmir conflict peacefully without further delay, if the World don’t want to see the further horrific scenes replaced by an even greater catastrophe in Kashmir.
The persistence of Kashmir problem has been a source of weakness for both India and Pakistan. The presence of such a large number of Indian troops certainly incites unnecessary incidents of violence which further aggravates the populace, serves as an explanation for warlike situations.—APP
