Rawalpindi—A five-day ‘In service short term training workshop’, organized by Fatima Jinnah Women University (FJWU) in collaboration with Punjab Higher Education Commission Punjab (PHEC) concluded here on Friday. The workshop was attended by 35 faculty members of FJWU. The aim of the workshop was to provide an excellent opportunity to faculty members for sharing of knowledge, experiences and capacity building at door step which will ultimately bring into play towards the betterment and development of the university.
Coordinator of the workshop was Dr. Sarwet Rasul (HoD) English. The workshop, comprising 14 sessions, covered diverse topics such as curriculum, assessment techniques, designing and implementation of effective learning, communication and presentation skills.
Director General PHEC Dr. Shahid was chief guest at the closing and certificate distribution ceremony of the workshop.
Vice Chancellor (VC) FJWU Prof. Dr. Samina Amin Qadir said that such training workshops are the opportunity for faculty members to advance their professional skills and improve the workplace efficiency.
She thanked and appreciated PHEC on collaborating for such workshop and stressed that such workshops should also be organized for college level faculty.
She also appreciated all the guest speakers for the informative discussion and dissemination of their original experiences throughout the five-day of workshop. She further said, FJWU’s relationship with PHEC will last much longer and extend beyond training workshops in the foreseeable years.
