The name is exact picture of this place. Yes, it’s a place of “SUKUN”. Recently I attended a training workshop of journalists in the senior citizen’s campus of Dar-us-Sukun. It totally changed my perspective about what disability actually is.
We need to stop isolating them from us; they just need the acceptance of the society. They can be as normal as we are, they don’t need our sympathies, they need equality. They need from society to stop judging them in terms of their physical disorder. I really appreciate the efforts of the people associated with Dar-us-Sukun. They are the humans with humanity.
