Working with Int’l donor agencies to improve education standard: Jam Mehtab


KARACHI, : Sindh Minister for Education and Literacy (E&L), Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar has said that strict action will be taken against those officers/contractors who have failed to provide missing facilities to the schools/colleges as per assignment and they will also be barred to be promoted.

Talking to media persons in Sindh Assembly building on Thursday, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar expressing his resentment over the situation, said that the funds had been released as per schedule but the officers and contractors concerned had done poor performance and lethargic attitude towards providing missing facilities such as repairing of ceilings of the class rooms, construction of boundary walls and wash rooms especially of girls schools and supplying of pure drinking water.

He said that it is high time to take action against those elements, who are causing to defame Sindh government and no pressure will be borne out in this regard.

Jam Mehtab assured that it was on top priority not only to enhance educational standard but also to provide better learning environment to the students and girls schools were focused in this regard to increase enrolment of the students.

He said that certain elements were trying to spread baseless and fake news regarding poor standard of education in Sindh while government was making efforts to improve education with the help of international donor agencies. He again warned the officers to mend their ways otherwise they must be ready to face the music.
