Winning 2/3 majority testifies PTI delivered well in KP

The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf after 22 years of goal oriented struggle eventually made it to lead the country with its vociferous agenda of putting Pakistan on the path of self- reliance , dignity and prosperity by ensuring a corruption free , just and a peaceful society.
While the party formed by a legendary cricketer Imran Khan is all set to attain simple majority with little efforts and comfortably form government in the centre, it has managed to secure two third majority in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa that it successfully ruled for five years despite total non-cooperation from the previous PML Nawaz led federal government. However, on the other hand the cricketer-turned politician in his victory speech on Thursday made it clear to the opposition there would be no political victimization saying “Our cause is larger than ourselves and the country needs complete unity among us”.
In fact, breaking the thirty year old tradition, the PTI is going to form government in the strategically significant Khyber Pakhtunkhwa for the consecutive second term. Among all the five provinces of the country the than North West Frontier Province (NWFP) and now the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has the unique tradition that its inhabitants never give a chance to any party consecutively for the second time. In other words the dwellers of this province always went for a change and gave chance to the other party in a hope that it may come up to their expectations and serve them dedicatedly.
Though the PTI’s Pervez Khattak led outgoing coalition government in the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been subjected to sharp criticism by the opponents especially by its arch rival PML Nawaz over its performance. However, enemies would candidly admit that supervised by the party chief Imran Khan the KP government resorted to some revolutionary steps and reforms specially in the police, revenue and education department. In the pursuit of a corruption free society, Imran did not even mind to sack his own (PTI) cabinet minister besides swinging into action against some cabinet members belonging to the coalition partners.
Now, when the people of KP going against their traditions of not giving second chance to the political party at stretch , voted for the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf once again thus marginalizing the other major parties of the province including PML N , Awami National Party (ANP) and the religious parties alliance MMA who were dreaming of wiping out PTI from the province in 2018 elections and forming their government, is testimony to the fact that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaaf has delivered in the province and came up to the aspirations of the masses. Had it not delivered the in the province, the dwellers of the KP are not fools to vote for a party and that too with two third majority which didn’t perform.
As a matter of fact they have totally rejected ANP, PML and MMA that governed the province in the past while the Peshawarites have almost wiped out these parties in the provincial metropolis where the PTI has swept the election by bagging all the five National assembly seats and 13 out of 14 PA seats.
No doubt with a heavy mandate of two third majority, the future PTI government in KP will have to put in extra efforts not to disappoint the masses that are pinning high hopes on it specially in continuing with its reform agenda and effectively accomplishing the projects already initiated in the previous government with particular reference to the mega project BRT ( Bus Rapid Transit, a project similar to Metro Bus ) involving heavy cost of over Rs 70 billion. The PTI that secured 37 seats in 2013 elections and formed coalition government with Jamaat-Islami and Qaumi Watan Party of Sherpao in KP, performed well in the province, now with two third majority is in a far better position to deliver more effectively.
