Will resign if land confiscation is proven in Sukkur: Khursheed

Islamabad—Opposition Leader in National Assembly Syed Khursheed Ahmed Shah on Tuesday presented himself for accountability in National Assembly saying that the allegations levelled against him by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar are baseless and unfounded.
Khursheed Shah asked for constitution of a parliamentary committee for scrutiny of allegations levelled against him. He said he would quit National Assembly if found guilty of any wrongdoing by the probe committee. He asked for a response from Prime Minister regarding those accusations and clarified that he has always worked for the well-being of the people while remaining in different ministries.
While criticizing Chaudhry Nisar, Khursheed Shah said that the interior minister gave such statements which even a common and cheap person cannot pronounce. The opposition leader told the House that Chaudhry Nisar has said that he is waiting for the moment when Khursheed Shah will talk against him. He also revealed that Nisar has accused him of blackmailing and confronting his statements.
Shah made it obvious that he does not own any offshore account however; he has only two accounts in Sukkur.
“My past and present is neat and clean, and I present myself for accountability,” he said.
