Will ensure mobile service on polling day: CS

Chief Secretary Sindh Major (Retd) Azam Suleman Khan has vowed that uninterrupted mobile service will be ensured in Sindh on the polling day for which the mobile towers will be moved to remote areas of the province.
He pledged this while presiding over an important meeting to review the arrangements made for general elections 2018 here on Wednesday. The meeting was attended by the Senior Member Board of Revenue, Secretary Home, Secretary Information and secretary Education while the divisional commissioners participated in the meeting through video link.
The Chief Secretary Sindh noted that the Installation of CCTV cameras and provision if all missing facilities at polling stations should be made available till July 21st.
Major (Retd) Azam Suleman Khan directed the secretary home to ensure the availability of mobile towers at remote areas of the province where mobile networks are not available. The home secretary informed that he had held a meeting with representatives of mobile networks to ensure the un erupted availability of mobile network during polling day.
The CS Sindh said that emergency will be imposed in all hospitals of Health Depts., during the general election. Secretary School Education Dr. Alya Shahid apprised the meeting that missing facilities have been furnished in 3290 polling stations.
Major (Retd) Azam Suleman asked the Commissioners to visit the polling stations to review the availability of missing facilities. He also advised the DCs and ACs to inspect 100% the facilities of water, toilets, electric and ramps for wheel Chairs to facilitate the voters. The CS Sindh directed officers concerned to make sure availability of all missing facilities at polling stations and negligence in this regard will not be tolerated.—INP
