Who killed Kandahar’s top officials?

ON October 18, 2018, Kandahar’s governor Zalmay Wesa, the powerful provincial police Chief Abdul Razik and the province’s intelligence chief Abdul Mohmin were killed when their own guards opened fire on them at a security conference. According to the “Associated Press”, US General Scott Miller, commander of US and NATO troops in Afghanistan, who was also present in the meeting, escaped unharmed. There has been a lot of speculation regarding who was responsible for the assassination of the top officials. Kabul was quick to blame Pakistan and its premier intelligence agency ISI for the heinous attack and even considered severing diplomatic ties with Pakistan. The 2 November cold blooded murder of Maulana Sami ul Haq, a Pakistani religious scholar and Senator, also known as the Father of Taliban was being perceived as a tit for tat killing. Investigations are still in progress but fingers point at his Afghan bodyguards. Some faction of Afghan Taliban also took responsibility for the Kandahar attack but it lacks credibility.
“Asian Tribune” of October 26, 2018, in its Op-Ed titled ‘RAW behind killing of NDS/CIA operatives in Kandahar’ lifts the shroud of secrecy from the identity of the main culprits. The reputable online daily quoting reports reveals that an intelligence setup was established inside the Governor House Kandahar to maintain optimum secrecy and deception. It discloses that the intelligence setup inside the Governor House was the joint venture of the Afghan intelligence agency, the National Directorate of Security (NDS), India’s infamous spy organization RAW and the US Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). The daily further informs that two companies of Black Water (CIA) XEE and XZEE were also imparting training to the Afghan youth, Indian nationals, ETM and IMU militants for launching them to Pakistan. The cover name of the clandestine intelligence and terrorist setup which was working inside Kandahar’s Governor House involving various cover officers and officials of RAW was “888 Brigade”. Quoting reliable sources, the daily asserts that 888 Brigade remained involved in terrorist activities inside Pakistan. It was running a setup at the hill top of Splanji near Quetta which was later destroyed by law enforcement agencies of Pakistan. The informed daily reveals that 888 Brigade even tried to establish a setup in Kohat which was successfully wiped out by Pakistani security forces as well.
Reportedly, the notorious 888 Brigade remained indulged in arms and drug trafficking inside Pakistan with the collaboration of Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) of USA, a CIA organ. Simultaneously, it was engaged in infiltrating terrorists and suicide bombers into Pakistan through various unfrequented routes from Afghanistan and Iran. The daily opines that the senior RAW operative and terror leader Commander Kulbhoshan Jadhav had also been using the same routes to ingress into Pakistan and exfiltrate. Kulbhoshan was operating closely with 888 Brigade. One of the victims of the October 18 Governor House bloodbath, the powerful police chief, Lieutenant General Abdul Raziq was a notorious figure.
The controversial Kandahar police chief, described by Human Rights Watch in 2017 as the Southern Province’s “Torturer in Chief”, had risen through the ranks to become one of the most powerful security heads in Afghanistan. Abdul Raziq, the Quetta born Achakzai had proclaimed nexus with multiple terrorist organizations in Pakistan and Afghanistan such as TTP, Lashkar-e-Jhangvi, Jamaat-ul-Ahrar, BLA, MQM, BLF and ISKP. Exploiting these terrorist organizations, General Raziq carried out various terrorist acts inside Pakistan such as attack on Lawyers in Quetta, attack on Police Training Center Quetta, assault on the Hazara Community in Quetta, attack on APS Peshawar and numerous others.
General Abdul Raziq was not only involved in terrorist activities inside Pakistan but was also disreputable for brutal and unlawful killing of innocent Afghanis. He was working as a mercenary for forces inimical to Afghanistan. According to reports he was running his own jails and torture centers to punish his political opponents and Afghan Taliban. Jamshed & Jamshed, the authors of the “Asian Tribune” exposé, claim that there is substantive evidence that the Governor House in Kandahar was primarily under the control of spy masters of NDS, RAW and CIA. They declare that the assassination of the Afghan Army General, NDS chief and Governor himself along with three CIA operatives is itself evidence that the Governor House was being used for nefarious state sponsored terrorism. The authors report that the former Afghan President Hamid Karzai was fed up of General Raziq’s obnoxious activities and had transferred him from Kandahar to Kabul. After remaining dormant for a while, he managed to manipulate his placement as Director General Border Security Forces Kandahar. He also supervised police activities in Kandahar province and covertly visited India to get briefing from RAW and acquire sophisticated equipment, which was provided to RAW by the Israeli secret agency Mossad.
“Asian Tribune” discloses that apparently differences erupted between Kandahar-based RAW diplomat Jagdev Krishna and General Abdul Raziq regarding their share of percentage of kickbacks from the purchase deal of night vision devices, telescope fitted snipers and chemical agents from Israeli Intelligence agency, Mossad. The RAW agent finally settled the dispute by cultivating a proxy in the inner security cordon of Governor House – the front organization of NDS, which resulted in the massive killing of NDS-CIA high-value personnel. RAW’s machinations against Pakistan continue unabated under the watch of CIA and it was only greed which exposed this monstrous plot but Pakistan has to remain extra vigilant against the combined onslaught of its enemies.
