WFP to help increase FATA girls’ enrolment in schools

Representative and Country Director World Food Programme (WFP) Binbarr Curran called on Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Engineer Iqbal Zafar Jhagra at Governor House here on Tuesday.
Provincial Chief WFP Baimankay Sankoh, Head of Programme WFP Naimatullah and Principal Secretary to Governor Sikandar Qayyum and Additional Secretary Planning & Development FATA were also present on the occasion.
He remained with the Governor for some time and briefed the Governor regarding their activities, saying that Rs200 Million would be given to all the high school and middle school girls students to increase enrollment of girls in schools of FATA.
He said that WFP will also help in various sectors including Health, Education and technical education etc. The Governor assured his full support and cooperation in this respect and appreciated the efforts of WFP in promotion of female education in FATA.—APP
