WCR organizes seminar on extremism

World Council of Religions (WCR) organized a seminar regarding World Day of Peace in Lahore, in which different thought of scholars, religious figures; intellectuals of Muslim, Hindu, Christian, and Sikh were present. Participants described their point of view for various reasons for misconduct in Pakistan and their solutions through peace in Pakistan. In Seminar Tahir Mahmood Ashrafi, Maulana Mohammad Elias Ghuman, Allama Abdul Khabir Azad, Maulana Abdul Wahab Ropri, Political Advisor Chief Minister Punjab Rana Arshad, Mian Marghoob Ahmed, Hafeezullah Niazi addressed.
All the speakers emphasized that we have to cooperate with each other for sustainable peace in Pakistan and to promote the patriotism in our country, instead of thinking of a Muslim, Christian, Sikh and Hindu. Minister Human rights and minorities’ affairs Khalil Tahir Sandhu said in his speech that respect of humanity is based in every religion. We should work together to eliminate all religious extremism in Pakistan. He said that the World Council of Religious performed well and gathered all parties at a plate form to resolve all issues of Pakistan through peace.
The Minister said that today the peace day is being celebrated in the world and we all should brought a common message to entire nation and especially to United Nations to pay attention people of Burma so that they should take notice of Burma’s cruelty and find a durable solution to the problem. He said that only word condemnation against this injustice will not work, each one has to play their role for peace.
