Domestic production of vegetable ghee grew by 2.11 percent as compared the corresponding period of alt year as during the period under about 1.307 million tons of ghee manufactured to fulfill the domestic requirements as well as for exporting.
The vegetable ghee manufacturing was recorded at 1.280 million tons during the same period of last financial year, according the data of Large Scale Manufacturing Industries released by the Pakistan Bureau of Statistics.
The ghee production was recorded at 107,706 million tons during the month of June, 2018 as compared the production of 108,828 tons of same month of last year, it added.
Meanwhile, domestic production of 389,974 million tons of cooking oil produced during the period under review, as compared the same quantity of last year, where as 29,907 tons of cooking oil manufactured locally in month of June, 2018 as compared the production of 33,848 tons of same month of last year, the data added.
Meanwhile, domestic tea blending grew by 1.17 percent during last fiscal year as it was recorded at 10,837 tons as compared the production of 149,091 tons of same period of last year.
On month on month basis, tea blending decreased by 15.65 percent in June this year as compared the same month of last year.
During the month of June, 2018 9,996 tones of tea were blended as compared the 11,811 tons tea of the same month of last year, it added.
From July-June, 2017-18, wheat and grain milling increased by 1.03 percent as 5, 557,486 tons of grains were milled during last fiscal year as against the milling of 5,501,017 tons of same period of last year.55.
The over all output of LSMI increased by 5.38 percent for July-June, 2017-18 compared to July-June , 2016-17.
The production in Jul-June 2017-18 as compared to Jul-June 2016-17 have been significantly increased in food, beverages and tobacco, coke and petroleum products, pharmaceuticals, non metallic mineral products, automobiles, iron and steel products as a result, overall Large Scale Manufacturing Sector has shown growth of 5.38 percent during July-June 2017-18 when compared with the same period of last year.
