Newly-appointed Consul General of American in Lahore William K Makaneole called on Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar here on Wednesday.
On the occasion, the US Consul General appreciated clean drinking water projects, the Government strategy to deal with Corona Pandemic and other public welfare projects of the government.
According to details, US Consul General in Lahore, William K Makaneole, met the Punjab Governor, at Governor House.
Pakistan-US relations, emerging Afghanistan situation, Kashmir Issue and matters of mutual interest came under discussion during the meeting. The Punjab Governor termed resolution of Kashmir Issue imperative for maintaining peace in the region.
Speaking on the occasion, Punjab Governor Chaudhry Sarwar said that Pakistan values its relations with the United States of America. He praised the US role in Pakistan’s economic progress, health and education sectors.
He said that the government of Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf is providing full security and other facilities to the foreign investors and tourists in the whole country including Punjab.
