The 429th annual three-day urs celebrations of Hazrat Shah Hussain, commonly known as Madhu Lal Hussain, began at his shrine at Baghbanpura here on Saturday.
Director General of Auqaf Department Tahir Raza Bokhari inaugurated the urs celebrations by performing traditional chador-laying ceremony at the shrine of the great Sufi saint of the Subcontinent.
PML-N City President Pervaiz Malik, MNA, other officials of Auqaf Department and a large number of devotees were also present on the occasion.
They also offered dua for progress, development and stability of the country.
Mehfil-e-Samaa would be held in which renowned qawwals would recite religious poetry during the urs days.
Religious and spiritual meetings will also be held and ulema mushaikh will threw light on the teachings of Hazrat Madhu Lal Hussain.
City District Government and police have made foolproof security arrangements on the occasion. Meanwhile, The three-day annual urs celebrations of Hazrat Shah Enayat Qadri began at his mazar on Saturday.

Religious, spiritual, social and political personalities are participating in the celebrations.
A Mehfil-e-Samaa and other ceremonies are part of the urs celebrations.
The police have made strict security arrangements for the visitors.
