Under-age drivers challaned during special drive

Rawalpindi—City Traffic Police (CTP), have issued 12740 challan slips under a special campaign, launched against under-age drivers and parking rules violators in the city.
CTP also impounded 327 Rickshaws, Ching-Chi rickshaws and motorcycles in various police stations during the campaign in last week.
Traffic Police issued challan tickets and imposed fines on the traffic rules violators amounting to over Rs 5.4 million.
Acting City Traffic Officer (CTO) Rawalpindi Iftikhar-ul-Haq said that city traffic police, on directives of Regional Police Officer (RPO) Rawalpindi
Muhammad Wisal Fakhar Sultan Raja, was making efforts for the smooth flow of traffic on city roads and taking strict action against the traffic rules violators.
A special campaign was launched and grand operation was conducted against under-age drivers particularly of Rickshaws, Ching-Chi rickshaws and the parking rules violators.—APP
