UK delegation briefed about Punjab Safe Cities project

A four-member delegation of Senior Police Officers from UK College of Policing on Monday visited Punjab Police Integrated Command Control and Communication Centre (PPIC3) to secure first-hand information about the faculty. The delegation included UK Police Officers Ben Crane, Carl Sturman, Mark Imrie and
Steve Henderson.
Punjab Safe Cities Authority (PSCA) MD Malik Ali Amir and Chief Operating Officer Akbar Nasir Khan briefed the delegation about various functions of the project that act as a consolidated hub of integrated policing regulating swift emergency & police responses including intelligent traffic management, dispatch of Punjab Police, PRU and Dolphin Force, 1122 Emergency response, Criminal Identification/ Investigations, virtual surveillance and media monitoring.
Speaking on the occasion, the PSCA MD said that the authority was sharing its experiences with all national security organizations across Pakistan and the project was recognised globally. The COO PSCA said that the PSCA was one of the few projects which are recognised
internationally.
