The management of United Christian Hospital (UCH) Lahore has praised the Punjab government for providing grant of Rs 56.3 million to the UCH for purchasing medical equipments. This was disclosed by Medical Director UCH Dr Akash Mathew in a statement here on Sunday.
He said that grant issued by the Punjab government would help to further upgrade all kind of healthcare facilities which were being provided to patients. He said the UCH was providing healthcare services to patients/community in Obs/Gyan, emergency, physio, Eye Check- up and surgeries, X-ray and imaging technology, medical laboratory technology, operation theatre. He added that Punjab Medical Faculty recognised the UCH’s services being provided to patients and Pakistan Nursing Council also recognized community midwifery course.The medical director said that new management of UCH had taken various initiatives to recognise UCH with the government regularity authorities, including Pakistan Medical Dental Council, Pakistan Nursing Council, Punjab Medical Faculty and Punjab Blood Transfusion Authority. He said that some elements spreading rumours regarding sale or lease of the UCH which was incorrect. He categorically rejected these rumours and said that UCH property and assets were in safe hands and UCH’s property/assets could not be given on lease and sale out.
The management of the UCH strongly condemned the such elements who were trying to underestimate of UCH image among community.
