Two guards killed in Pasni attack

Quetta—Two guards deployed for security of gas exploration company were killed when unidentified armed men attacked them with sophisticated weapons near Pasni area of Gwadar district, on Saturday.
The Levies Force sources said that security guards were deployed for security of survey team of gas exploration company “Coal Geophysical Company (CGC) was conducting survey for exploration of natural gas in Pasni area of Gwadar district.
“The armed men ambushed security guards with sophisticated weapons by opening volley of bullets on them,” they said, adding that leaving two security guards critically injured. The assailants managed to escape from the scene.
Deputy Commissioner Gwadar, Dr. Tufail Baloch said that the armed attackers opened fire at gas exploration company and the security guards retaliated against their attack. “The gun battle remained for a while which left two security guards injured,” he said.
The injured guards succumbed to their injuries on their way to hospital. The law enforcement agencies have cordoned off the entire area to trace out the suspects. Further probe was undeway.—APP
