Karachi—The Sindh Education and Literacy Department is organising the ‘Joint Education Sector Review-II (JESR-II)’ here on September 27-28, said a spokesperson for the Reform Support Unit of the Department here on Sunday.
The Chief Minister of Sindh, Syed Murad Ali Shah, will be the chief guest at the event. While Minister of Education and Literacy Sindh, Jam Mehtab Dahar, Provincial Chief Secretary, Muhammad Saddique Memon and the Secretary Education and Literacy, Dr. Fazlullah Pechuho, Chief Program Manager, Reform Support Unit, Faisal Ahmed Uquaili, representatives from UNICEF, Global Partnership for Education, World Bank, European Union, USAID and others will also express their views on the occasion.
The participants of the event include international development partners, civil society, education experts, academicians, the spokesperson added.
During the two-day event, the government of Sindh together with main stakeholders will undertake a periodic assessment of performance in the education sector focusing on access to education, quality of education, governance, intra-departmental coordination and district education plans.
Specifically, they will look at progress and challenges related to Early Childhood Education, Primary and Elementary Education, Middle Education, Secondary and Higher Secondary Education and Non-formal Basic Education, the spokesperson further pointed out.
