Twin-City players mesmerise audience in karate, judo C’hip

The first Twin-City Judo and Karate Championship ‘Save Youth, Save Pakistan’ was organised at Shahbaz Sharif Sports Complex near Murree Road, Rawalpindi. Players belonging to Rawalpindi and Islamabad participated in Karate Championship and mesmerised the audience.
The fights were contested in catagories of 50 kgs, 55 kgs, 60 kgs, 70 kgs, 81 kgs and open weight catagory.
In the 50 kg weight catagory Inam Rasool won gold medal, Murtaza got silver, and Raza Ali bagged bronze medal.
In 55 weight catagory Riasat received gold medal,
Danial silver and Shabir Ali got bronze.
In the 60 kg weight category Adil Mirza won gold medal, Rehan Asim silver, and Afzal bagged bronze.
In 70 weight catagory Ahmed Mujtaba clinched gold, Imran Shanwari silver, and Saqlain secured bronze.
In 81 kgs, gold medal went to Ali Anwaar, silver medal to Liaqat Ali, and Sheraz Ahmed got bronze medal.
In open weight catagory Akram Ali received gold, Junaid Ahmad got silver medal, and Asrar Ali was given bronze medal, as well as all players were awarded certificates by chief guest Zulfiqar Ghumman.
At the closing ceremony of championship chief organizer Liaquat Ali black belt 4 Dan in karate, President of Save Youth, Save Pakistan’ movement stated that these types of activities should be organised regularly to eliminate the involvement of our young generation in harmfull activities like smoking and drugs.
