Twin blasts leave four soldiers injured in Kurram

Twin explosions targeting the security forces in troubled Kurram agency near Pak Afghan border Wednesday morning resulted in serious injuries to at least four men in uniform.
Reports reaching here said the unknown terrorists had planted landmines on the road side at Sharkoi area of the Lower Kurram agency. The explosive devices went off when a vehicle of the security forces reached close by. The forces vehicle was damaged badly leaving four soldiers seriously wounded.
The injured soldiers were shifted to hospital for treatment.
It was reported that soon after the twin blasts the security forces cordoned off the area and kicked off search and net operation. The saboteurs remained at large till this report was filed.
It may be recalled that the ongoing operation Radd ul Fasaad that was initiated against the elements challenging the writ of the state and unleashing a series of subversive activities all over the country in February 2017, has been going on effectively and the security forces have been conducting intelligence based operation (IBO) all over the country.
During this period heavy amount of explosive material was recovered in various raids by Pak Army led security forces.
