Staff Reporter

Islamabad—President Pakistan Businessmen and Intellectuals Forum (PBIF), President AKIA, Senior Vice Chairman of the Businessmen Panel of FPCCI and former provincial minister Mian Zahid Hussain on Thursday said Donald Trump’s resounding election victory could jolt globalisation initiatives.
The unexpected outcome of the US election can be a great threat to the world’s peace and trade, he said. Mian Zahid Hussain said that American voters have followed the suit of English voters to reject immigration and prefer nationalism and racism over everything which has again brought the theory of clash of civilisations into limelight. He said that the world may see new wave of lawlessness, frictions, clashes, deteriorating relations between Washington and Beijing while Trump may revisit or scrap nuclear deal with Iran which he criticised during his campaign which will have negative impact on the regional peace.
The veteran business leader said that Trump has not only promised to rewrite all trade agreements, come hard on Muslim and stop immigration from Islamic nations which will have very negative impact on the situation while many Muslims living in US will prefer to leave. Russians are very happy over the development as they see victory of Trump as beginning of the fall of US, he said, adding that it would be a great success if world community avoided third world war during the tenure of president elect.
