Tribals demand abolishment of FCR

Khyber Agency—The Prime Minister FATA reforms committee visited the subdivision of Khyber Agency and listen to the suggestions of elders, political leaders and journalists regarding FCR (Frontier Crime Regulations).
Led by the chairman of FATA reforms committee Sartaj Aziz and other committee members governor of KP Iqbal Zafar Jagra, Abdul Qadir Baloch and Federal law minister Zahid Hamid visited Landikotal and called on the local elders, political party leaders and media men at the jirga hall of Landikotal.
FATA reforms commit-tee members held a separate session with the tribal elders and pro-administration maliks while the second session was scheduled with traders and political party leaders and media persons The political parties jointly boycotted the session and held protest out-side the Jirga Hall and in Landikotal bazaar saying that the political administration of Khyber Agency insulted them when they ordered them to go outside Jirga hall.
Meanwhile the local mediamen were also restricted to cover the session held with the tribal elders and Maliks who mostly demanded some changes in FCR.
